Move-Out Timeline

Step 1

Submit Written Notice (30-60 Days Before)

Provide written notice of your intent to vacate. Check your lease for the required notice period (typically 30-60 days).

Step 2

Schedule Move-Out Inspection (2 Weeks Before)

Contact us to schedule a pre-move-out inspection. This helps identify any items that need attention before your final walkthrough.

Step 3

Clean & Repair (1 Week Before)

Deep clean the property and address any damages beyond normal wear and tear. Refer to the checklist below.

Step 4

Final Walkthrough (Move-Out Day)

Complete the final inspection with our team. Return all keys, garage remotes, and access devices.

Step 5

Security Deposit Return (Within 30 Days)

Your security deposit will be returned within 30 days, minus any deductions for damages or unpaid rent.

✅ Move-Out Checklist

Remove all personal belongings and trash
Clean all rooms, including closets and storage areas
Clean kitchen appliances (oven, refrigerator, dishwasher)
Clean bathrooms thoroughly (toilet, tub, sink, mirrors)
Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors
Wipe down all surfaces, cabinets, and countertops
Remove all nails/hooks and fill holes in walls
Replace any burnt-out light bulbs
Clean windows inside and out (if accessible)
Clean garage/basement/outdoor areas
Return all keys, remotes, and access devices
Provide forwarding address for security deposit
Cancel or transfer utilities
Update your mailing address with USPS
